Why would a plump, perimenopausal advertising professional create and perform a burlesque act in a real LA show? How in the world did I manage to get myself on the stage of the Comedy Store my 3rd time performing stand up comedy? The short answer is I’ve been following the universe’s messages like a mysterious scavenger hunt that is only being revealed to me one dream, sign and step at a time. It’s an approach that is one part courageous, one part midlife crisis.

Either way, it was an unapologetically joyous act of healing with a surprise ending that might even make Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake blush. (Trigger warning: light mocking of tech bros)
